Patients' Experiences in CAHs: HCAHPS Results, 2016 (FMT Data Summary Report #24)

Abstract

This report summarizes reporting rates and performance among all U.S. Critical Access Hospitals (CAHs) on the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) survey for calendar year 2016.

The Flex Monitoring Team also produces state-specific reports with more detailed HCAHPS results.

While HCAHPS participation among CAHs has more than doubled since 2010, the number of completed surveys per reporting CAH has changed: a substantially higher percentage of reporting CAHs in 2016 completed less than 100 surveys and a substantially lower percentage completed more than 300 surveys when compared to 2010.
