This Data Summary Report presents state and national median values of the 29 financial indicators included in the Critical Access Hospital Measurement and Performance Assessment System (CAHMPAS). As part of ongoing work of the Flex Monitoring Team, these indicators were specifically designed to capture the financial performance of CAHs.

The indicators fall under seven domains: profitability, liquidity, capital structure, revenue, cost, utilization and other. The report includes a brief description of the domains, Part 1 presents the state medians by indicator, and Part 2 presents the all indicator medians, grouped by state. The Appendix includes indicator definitions, interpretations, and benchmarks. The state-specific financial median reports can be found on our State Profiles page.
